HISTORIC DARTMOUTH AND BEYOND ITINERARY

FULL DAY TOUR (6 hours)

9.30am Pick up from outside Platform 1 next to the passenger ferry quay in Dartmouth.
We will drive to Greenway National Trust via the car ferry (famed for being the former home of Agatha Christie) on the banks of the beautiful river Dart. ​
​We will then journey back to Dartmouth for lunch and exploring. We will visit historic Bayard's Cove (where the Mayflower docked before setting sail to the New World) and stroll through the cobbled back streets and stairways of Dartmouth and have an opportunity to shop in local boutiques and shops.
We then journey on to beautiful Blackpool Sands via the coastal road for a stroll on the beach. We then head to the historic Dartmouth Dartmouth Castle perched on the headland overlooking both the River Dart and the English Channel to explore its fort and understand some of its history.
3.30pm We return to Platform 1 in Dartmouth.
NB Greenway is subject to availability. Either a visit Berry Head in Brixham with its stunning headland, iconic lighthouse and Napoleonic Fort and grand views, or Coleton Fishacre National Trust, an historic coastal home and picturesque gardens will be offered as possible alternatives.

It is possible to pick up and drop off from local accommodation if arranged in advance.
