HALF DAY TOUR

A short sightseeing tour from Dartmouth

HALF DAY 9.30am-12.30pm

9.30am Pick up from outside Platform 1 next to the passenger ferry quay in Dartmouth.

We will drive via the beautiful coastal road to Blackpool Sands to stroll on the beach and soak up the scenery. From there we venture on to Slapton Sands to learn about the WW2 history of the area. We will stop at Slapton Ley, the largest natural freshwater lake in south-west England being 1.5 miles long which is a haven for birds and wildlife.

From there we head through the narrow rural lanes of the South Hams to the pretty village of Dittisham on the banks of the river Dart for a stroll through the back streets and along the river, before returning to our start point.
